Happy 4th!

So, we've kept up our laid-back drama-free lifestyle but I got kinda busy being mommy and of course, the blog was the first thing to get neglected.

My online class is now completed, with an A. :) And a new class starts on Tuesday, joy. We've been enjoying the summer, mostly just as a family and with Curly.

The holiday weekend was a blast, our town had all the festivities yesterday since it was Saturday. I took D to the parade just before lunch, then we went to Angie's barbeque for a bit before the fireworks. Curly met us for the fireworks and we all watched them, while cuddled together on a blanket. It was perfect <3.

I don't think I'll ever get used to the way he makes me feel. I can't help myself from smiling whenever I think about him (which practically means I've got a permanent smile upon my face). My cheeks get tired and kinda ache at bedtime almost daily. It's so amazing, between my munchkins and him, I don't think I've ever been happier.

Today Little Miss and I went to a picnic at his house, with his family. I met a set of grandparents, an aunt and uncle, and two cousins (one of them I had known back in middle school, vaguely). I was suuuper nervous on the way there, but all went well and they were super sweet. (Surprise, surprise.. I mean they are related to Curly after all). It confirms my suspicions that his family are just some of the kindest people EVER & I enjoyed spending time with them.

Once everyone left, Cia and I stuck around a bit and swung on the porch swing with Curly. It was one of those perfect summer nights, a slight breeze, a beautiful sunset, and wildlife bouncing around in the field. We listened to the birds sing while Cia slept in the ring-sling. It doesn't get much better than that.

Then when I came home, Mr. D was waiting for me all done up, ready for a 'dessert date'. He had me put on a dress and we ate cheese curls and brownies together. He's such a charmer. But then as he fell asleep he told me he wanted a date. I said "I thought I was your date?" and he goes "No,you're my mommy, I want a REALLL date" Oh man, I'm done for when he gets a bit older.

I can't say "I love my life" anymore without sounding like a broken record... But man, it's so amazing to go to bed every night smiling, feeling light hearted and know that tomorrow will just be more of the same happiness today was full of. Love it <3 & I wish everyone had it. If they did, the world would be SUCH a better place.
